BLUER HOUSE — Small Space, Our Story
BLUER HOUSE was never created to be just another café in Johor Bahru.
Created by the team behind Anything JB, BLUER HOUSE reflects our passion for culture, community, creativity, and thoughtfully curated spaces within the city. From the very beginning, we wanted to create somewhere that feels calm, welcoming, and personal, a space where people can genuinely slow down from the fast pace of everyday life.

The name “BLUER” itself was inspired by the combination of three words — Brew, Blue, and Blur.
“Brew” represents our love for quality coffee and café culture. “Blue” reflects the calm, emotional, and slightly moody atmosphere we wanted the space to carry, while “Blur” represents the soft, slowed-down feeling we hope people experience when they spend time here — almost like the outside world moves a little slower for a moment.
Every corner of BLUER HOUSE was thoughtfully built around that feeling. From the ambience, music, lighting, textures, and interior details, to the food and beverages we serve, everything is curated with intention. We wanted the space to feel warm, minimal, comfortable, and honest — not overly complicated, but memorable in its own way.
Coffee has always been one of the core experiences at BLUER HOUSE. We focus on serving quality, well-balanced coffees that people can enjoy daily, whether it’s a simple black, a comforting white, or something refreshing to slow the day down with. Alongside our beverages, our sourdough sandwiches have also become one of the signatures people return for — made to be comforting, satisfying, and easy to enjoy at any time of the day.
Over time, what makes us happiest is seeing how people have connected with the space in their own way. BLUER HOUSE was never designed to be a large or overly crowded café — instead, we wanted it to feel like a small pause within the city. A place where people can take a short break from the day, slow down for a moment, enjoy a good coffee and sandwich, and simply sit back while watching the cars pass by outside.
Sometimes, it’s the small and quiet moments that matter the most, and that feeling is exactly what we hoped BLUER HOUSE could offer.
Beyond coffee and food, BLUER HOUSE has slowly grown into a creative and community-driven environment. We’ve always believed that cafés can be more than just places to dine — they can become spaces that inspire people, support local culture, and create genuine experiences.
Being based in Johor Bahru, we are incredibly grateful for all the support from both locals and visitors who continue to spend their time with us. Every review, every shared moment, every returning customer, and every recommendation means more to us than people realise.
BLUER HOUSE is still growing, evolving, and learning every day, but one thing will always remain the same — our intention to create a space where people feel comfortable, connected, and welcomed.
